The true economic cost of war is greater than its immediate costs.

They dont take into account the discounted future costs of disabled and deceased service personnel ... for every injured serviceperson there are immediate medical costs, ongoing treatments, loss of income, loss of productivity, retraining if disablement prevents return to their normal occupation, suppport for dependants, possible loss of income/productivity from them whilst caring for the serviceperson; for every deceased serviceperson there is loss of potential income/productivity, support of dependants.

What a bunch of bullshit! Sorry to see your just another left wing wack job who hates God and country. Maybe you should go back to canada (and stay there). You guys have no concept of the price of freedom.

Hey Don,

Perhaps you don't realize it, but Bush was very clear about the cost when he recently asked for and received $87 billion from Congress. The above calculation does nothing more than keep a running total of the amount. Your ascribing the title 'left wing wack job' to me means you are just another frothing idiot on the internet who doesn't know enough to Actually See The Info Right In Front Of You.

For gawd's sake...it's a large number that increases, not a left wing rant.
