- p u t t i n g s p a c e s between your words is not proof of your 1337 design skillz
- you aren't cool because you totally smacked down some other poster on ./
- calling it ./ isn't some sort of secret handshake in the geek community - 12 year olds wearing pleather ties and corduroy can call it ./ too
- Rotten and similar sites are just sites with pictures that will disturb you parents - if you visit there just to be rebellious and different, remember how many hits they get each month
- for some of you, IRC was around while your teachers were getting into computers - it hasn't changed much after its initial growth spurt
- it's not pr0n, it's porn, and people have been making it since cavemen were drawing on stone walls
- you've probably read more text in the past few years than any other generation before you, so it's probably time you learn to write coherently
- 'wanna cyber?' is guaranteed to get you at least one date with a 53 year old man who lives in his parents basement
- all those sites that allow you to connect to other people (Friendster, Orkster, Tribes) rarely make connections that you wouldn't have if you got away from the screen once in a while
- the days where cracking/hacking computer systems was a charming geek trait are over - think what sort of 'cracking' will happen in prison with Bubba
- yeah, 'cracking' is now 'hacking', same as it was 3 years ago - what a shame the English language has to change; it pwns j00.

LINKS and STUFF

Userfriendly.org - It's a geek comic strip. Really it's the main geek comic strip that has content based more for the geek crowd than any other. Other 'geek' comic strips have humour and content that almost anyone can get. I go there more out of habit these days than anything else, I used to work for it, and am still the head moderator for their comments system. I guess that's my intro to blogging in some way.

Aspectus - This is Illiad's (of Userfriendly fame) other project, which is like Slashdot in some ways and like a personal blog in some ways, but cooler than either. Needs more content, and more visitors, but that'll come.

RED MEAT - Oh my. I imagine there is a FBI file on the artist. I never, ever want to meet him. But I will glory in his comic strip. Brilliance and intelligence wrapped up in the tattooed skin of a circus freak and tied with a bow made of blown O-rings.

Imparte.com - Rich's site. Not going to talk about it until he says I can. But go visit anyway.
